I am planning to use my COMDIRECT Credit Card(VISA) in India.

Are there any charges/costs that I need to be aware of .

Hi @KUMARV,

the two points are: 1.75% transaction fee for every non-ATM transaction ("Auslandeinsatzentgelt"), and the supposedly suboptimal exchange rates (comdirect uses the exchange rates of Commerzbank and not the ones of VISA).

If you use your card at Point of Sale, you'll have to pay a foreign exchange fee of 1,75% on every payment.

You can withdraw cash with your VISA card at an ATM. comdirect won't charge you for that, but the ATM operator might, in that case the ATM fee will be shown on the screen.

Be aware of the exchange rates, comdirect uses the Commerzbank exchange rates instead of the interbank rates, which are usually much better.
