Transfering money to American Bank account in USD

Hello,

in comming days, I will have to transfer around 8000 USD to an american bank account.

As I only have Euros on my account, what is the best way to do it?

I see that during the transfer from online bank, one can choose the currency.

How does it work?

For example, if I chose USD enter 8000, does it mean that the system will do the currency exchange calculation automatically and by today's exchange rate around 7580 eur will be deducted from my account?

And the reciepient will definetelly get all $8000 right?

Maybe you try wise.com. I´ve been using wise (formerly transferwise) for my international money transactions for many years already.

Take a look at the form for "Auslandsüberweisung" (https://kunde.comdirect.de/itx/ueberweisung/anlegen).

If you fill in the amount in USD and choose option "OUR" for "Entgelt- und Kostenregelung" (meaning that you are paying the fees), you see the EUR amount that will be charged.

The recipient will get the USD amount and Comdirect is converting it to EUR to charge your account.
